Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1612m)

Annunicate has placed from three starts this campaign and that’s the best form going into this race. It’s a rather weak maiden field and it might sneak under the bookmakers’ radar.

Race 1 tip: Annunciate to win at Neds.com.au

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1462m)

Chris Waller lines up Montevideo which finished third on debut before returning with a sixth last start. Waller doesn’t usually wait long for them to break maiden grades so consider it here.

Race 2 tip: Montevideo to win at CrownBet.com.au

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1212m)

Pieridae has its foot on the till after three placings to open its account. The Patrick Payne-trained runner finished second at its last two starts and a similar effort should see it winning here.

Race 3 tip: Pieridae to win at Neds.com.au

Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1112m)

Electron finished fifth on debut for trainer Robbie Griffiths and it could improve on that effort. It has drawn awkwardly in barrier 14, but it should be around the mark with some luck in running.

Race 4 tip: Electron to win at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 5 – BM58 Handicap (1612m)

Moorabool might have the best credentials in what is an average field. The Brian Stanaway-trained runner was a winner last time out and that confidence could take it close to winning again.

Race 5 tip: Moorabool to win at CrownBet.com.au

Race 6 – BM58 Handicap (1912m)

Party Host has been around the mark throughout its career and there has been plenty to like about its recent placings. The Darren Weir-trained runner was winner earlier this preparation and it could return to the winners’ enclosure here.

Race 6 tip: Party Host to win at Neds.com.au

Race 7 – BM64 Handicap (1462m)

Catechesis usually finds itself around the mark and it has already won twice this preparation. It was a winner two starts back before running fifth last start and that form could improve quickly.

Race 7 tip: Catechesis to win at CrownBet.com.au

Race 8 – BM58 Handicap (1212m)

Smash the Gong has won twice this preparation and it looked good when running second last start. Each way hopes in this.

Race 8 tip: Smash the Gong to win at Neds.com.au
