NSW’S headline meet is at Kembla Grange this Thursday as the popular rural track hosts a solid eight race card.

After showing plenty of promise, Chris Waller-trained Cormac has hit somewhat of a wall. The horse drops back in class on Thursday and should be able to get back on track.

Battle Anthem has been consistent since debuting, placing four times from five attempts. The horse is drawn perfectly to bounce out of the barriers and take this out from the front.

Race 3 – Benchmark 68 (1000m)

Twirling Moss has won two of its three races to date and we’re backing it to deliver here. The horse stays at the 56kg and should be highly competitive second-up.

Magnifica has placed third in two of its three career starts to date and will look to improve even further. The horse finished behind the The Big Vin on June 9, which has since gone on to register a win a Scone.

Race 5 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Canyonero has been good this preparation, improving from third to second across two starts. The horse gets an ideal gate to register the first career win and we believe it has the ability to take this one out.

Race 6 – Class 1 Handicap (1200m)

Sparkly Star broke the maiden in its last-start victory at the Farm on June 13 and it looms as a back-to-back threat. The horse jumps in weight but it should be able to handle the Class 1 Handicap step up.

Race 7 – Maiden Plate (1500m)

Godolphin’s Erudition looks likely in this one. In both career starts to date the horse has finished second, the last of which was a narrow three parts of a length defeat.

Race 8 – Benchmark 64 (1400m)

Bella Amante has been great across its three career runs, winning twice and only narrowly missing out by two parts of a length of making it three from three. The Pins mare looks a hot prospect and should prove hard to beat.
