Race 1 – Class 1 Handicap (1000m)

Rainover Manhattan is an incredibly short-priced favourite for the opener and deservedly so. The horse won well on January 12 at Muswellbrook and we think it will go back-to-back here.

Race 1 tip: Rainover Manhattan to win ($1.60 at William Hill)

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Hong Qigong is first-up, where it has placed twice from two attempts. The Hawkes runner has trialed nicely leading into this one and only narrowly missed out on breaking the maiden tag before being turned out. Looms as the winner here.

Race 2 tip: Hong Qigong to win ($2.80 at Neds)

Race 3 – Class 2 Handicap (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180851_03]

A fresh Chavish should present a mountain of problems in the smaller field here. The Myboycharlie gelding has won first-up in the past and has missed the placings just once in seven races at Kembla. Chavish is the best bet of the day.

Race 3 tip: Chavish to win ($1.55 at Neds)

Race 4 – Maiden Handicap (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180851_04]

Schoolmates is a first starter for the Waller stable and comes into the race as a live chance of winning on debut. The three-year-old colt has trialed well leading into Wednesday, the last of which was terrific. Waller will have Schoolmates primed to win.

Race 4 tip: Schoolmates to win ($4.20 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Maiden Handicap (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180851_05]

Casino Angel finished second first-up on January 18 and will be looking to go one better on Wednesday. The horse has recorded a top-two finish second-up in the past and no other horse that has taken to the track has finished inside the top half of the field.

Race 5 tip: Casino Angel to win ($2.50 at Crownbet)

Race 6 – Benchmark 60 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180851_06]

The Fox Effect is a last-start winner in dominant fashion at Cessnock and has the ability to go on with the job here. The Foxwedge filly drops in weight following that win and can deliver a back-to-back win following it’s maiden win.

Race 6 tip: The Fox Effect to win ($3.90 at William Hill)

Race 7 – Benchmark 74 (1600m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180851_07]

Everything seems to be falling into the place for Great Job going into the penultimate event. The horse is undefeated across two runs this preparation and has recorded a win third-up before. We are backing it in again to record a third-straight success.

Race 7 tip: Great Job to win ($2.80 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Maiden Plate (2000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180851_08]

Plea Bargain has recorded back-to-back second placings coming into this race, both by two parts of a length. The horse is now third-up and should be hitting its peak. We’re backing Plea Bargain in to breakthrough here at the 15th time of asking.

Race 8 tip: Plea Bargain to win ($3.90 at Ladbrokes)
