Kate Nipperess to remain in hospital

Kate Nipperess is expected to remain in hospital for another two months as she continues her recovery from spinal injuries suffered in a trackwork fall.

Racing NSW welfare officer Maurice Logue said although Nipperess was still unable to move her legs, she had regained feeling in them and was in good spirits.

Logue said doctors had told her after another two months she would be transferred the Ryde Rehabilitation Centre.

Nipperess was injured when a riderless horse crashed head-on into her mount during trackwork at Warwick Farm on July 28.
