James Cummings the Godolphin replacement favourite at Crownbet
IT did not take long for the online bookmakers to throw up a Godolphin head trainer market after news filtered through on Saturday that John O’Shea is set to walk away from the high-pressure role.
No parties will confirm but I’m suggesting that John O’Shea and Godolphin will be parting ways in the near future. An announcement soon.

O’Shea – who is just three years into his five year contract – is believed to be in the process of negotiating a severance package, but no formal announcement has yet been made.
Big news john O’shea resigning from godolphin. Rumblings had been about.

WilliamHill.com.au was quick to pounce on the opportunity to open a market, installing British trainer Charlie Appleby as the $3.50 favourite to assume the Godolphin head position.
Probably zero chance but I would love to see Charlie Appleby take the reigns from O’Shea

Not long after the markets opened however, James Cummings’ odds were slashed for the role.
The grandson of legendary trainer Bart is now the $1.90 favourite across all bookmakers to take on the Godolphin role.
Everyone is having a stab
I’m tipping @godolphin will announce their new Australian trainer will be
JAMES CUMMINGS

The most interesting elect in the market is Black Caviar’s former trainer Peter Moody.
Moody – who retired from training following a long battle with racing authorities over the cobalt scandal – has no current ties to the training industry and could walk straight into the role.
Would love to see @moodyracingpgm take over the royal blue colours at @godolphin! Great trainer and racing personality. @Punters #Racing

Moody ($9) is on the fourth line of betting at Crownbet.com.au.
