I’ll Have A Bit wins the National Stakes at Morphettville
JOHN McArdle-trained filly I’ll Have A Bit has produced a boil over in the Group 3 National Stakes after Craig Williams delivered the perfect ride on the promising two-year-old.
After being shuffled back in the run and facing a battle just to see open space, Williams weaved his way through on the $11 outsider at Crownbet.com.au, which tore away in the latter stages of the race to win ahead of the short-priced favourite Booker ($1.30 at Sportsbet.com.au).

It was disappointing outing from the $1.85 favourite Booker, which had every chance to back up its sparkling Flemington debut win.
Just saw Booker started $1.85 and I’ll have a bit $12 for 2 length diff down the straight….

The Written Tycoon filly got the perfect run in transit and was produced at the ideal time by jockey Damian Lane, but failed to produce the kick it did in Melbourne to finish behind the eventual winner.
