The Darren Weir-trained triple Group One winner Humidor is the topweight with 58kg in both the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.

Humidor ran in both races last year, finishing fifth in the Caulfield Cup and 19th in the Melbourne Cup and will defend the Makybe Diva Stakes on Saturday.

European contenders, Best Solution from Godolphin and the Aidan O’Brien-trained Lancaster Bomber are next in the Cups handicaps with 57.5kg.

The Weir-trained Kings Will Dream, the TAB’s ruling favourite for both races, will carry 53kg.

Last year’s Victoria Derby winner Ace High is the highest weighted four-year-old in the Cups with 55kg.

The O’Brien-trained Kew Gardens, who is the favourite for Saturday’s St Leger at Doncaster, has 53kg for the Melbourne Cup.

Aidan’s son Joseph O’Brien, who trained Rekindling to win the 2017 Melbourne Cup, will pin his hopes this year on Irish Derby winner Latrobe who has 52kg.
