HKJC buys Holy Roman Emperor colt at Arqana

The youngster, catalogued as Lot 5 at the prestigious Deauville auction, is out of an unraced Teofilo mare.

The smart black type family has produced Group 1 winner Archarcharch and the three-time Group 1-placed filly Arch Swing.

The bay yearling’s sire, Holy Roman Emperor, has produced three standout Hong Kong gallopers; former Horse of the Year Designs On Rome and fellow Group 1 victors Beauty Only and Rich Tapestry.
