Highway races get prize money boost
Prize money for the popular Highway races for country-trained horses at Sydney Saturday meetings will be increased to $60,000.
Racing NSW announced the prize money rise from $40,000 on Wednesday, saying it will come into effect on August 6, the first Saturday of the new season.
Highway races are restricted to country-trained Class Two or Three horses and run at Saturday metropolitan meetings outside Sydney’s biggest race days.
