Heavy winter workloads force transfers

Horse training centre at Cranbourne, Victoria

A heavy schedule of winter jump-outs at the Cranbourne Training Centre has forced the transfer of another set of important trials.

The trials set down at the course on August 21 have been transferred to Traralgon.

It follows the majority of the trials scheduled for the Cranbourne Training Centre on August 7 being moved to Moe with three heats transferred to the Cranbourne racetrack on August 8.

Jumps trials set to be run at the venue on August 14 have been moved to Ballarat.

The main grass track at the course has been used extensively over winter for trials and jump-outs as the inside grass has undergone an upgrade to its drainage.

The race meeting at Swan Hill on August 29 has been transferred to Mildura.

After a heavy schedule at Swan Hill during June and July before a 10-race card on August 7, the track needs time to recover before its meeting on September 15.
