Hawkesbury Horse Racing Preview

Six races will be run and won at Hawkesbury on Sunday afternoon. The rail is in the true position for the entire circumference of the course, with the track in the Soft 5 range. Race 1 will jump at 1:40pm.

Best BetRace 4 – Reverse (#8) $3.30 with Sportsbet

James Cummings saddles up just the one runner at Hawkesbury on Sunday in the form of three-year-old filly, Reverse. The daughter of Exceed And Excel was a fashionable winner at Wyong last start at just her second appearance at the races, and we think he will be good enough to go on with the job. Jason Collett sticks with her which is an advantage. The outside barrier in a nine horse race is some query, but there looks plenty of speed in the race which will suit, as she will likely get back and run on. She can make it back to back wins in this.

Next BestRace 1 – Gallant Run (#3) $3.40 with Sportsbet

We can get punters off on the right foot in the opener on Sunday, when brothers Gary and John Moore saddle up 10 start maiden gelding, Gallant Run. The son of Not A Single Doubt has placed in five of his ten races and brings solid form around the likes of Great News, Ballistic Lover and Rahni Factor. Drawn gate four, Alysha Collett will be able to find the fence and box seat under what looks a solid speed battle from out wide. He has won three from four at the trials, and finished third last start to Reverse who we hope can win later on in the day. This is his chance to get the monkey off his back.

Best ValueRace 6 – Awesome Lad (#4) $7 with Sportsbet

Jason Dreamer and Rachel King combine in the last with Awesome Lad who looks set to get back in the winner’s circle. Drawn in barrier 4, he looks to get a fairly soft time of it out in front under King, who is airborne at the moment. He fell in on debut over 1200m, but has since been at the trials and had a few more starts at the races to build his fitness. First up on Sunday after two trials should see him fully wound up for this task however. Hopefully King takes the bull by the horns and makes every post a winning one to get punters out on a winning note.
