Seven races will be run and won on the Central Coast on Thursday as provincial racing heads to Gosford. The rail is set in the true position for the entire course, and the track is rated a Soft 6. HorseBetting brings you the best bets and a quaddie for the meeting, which is due to jump at 12:50pm local time.
Best Bet: Sinba
We are big fans of the Ryan & Alexiou stable, and after what this two-year-old gelding did on debut, we have no reason not to be with Sinba. The son of Kiwi stallion Xtravagant debuted in a Newcastle maiden against the older horses and stamped his authority to win by just over two lengths. Keagan Latham has retained the ride, and after coming from second-last on debut, we expect he will snag the gelding back towards the rear again from barrier four. This looks a nice race for Sinba to extend his unbeaten run.
Race 5 – Sinba (#5)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1370382_05]
Next Best: Ready To Soar
We said we’re fans of the stable, so let’s hope Ryan & Alexiou are on fire on Thursday. In the final race of the day, Ready To Soar makes her racetrack return over the 1100m trip. The three-year-old filly by More Than Ready has won three from three at Gosford, all of which came in succession last campaign by good margins. Having had two trials in the lead up for this, Ready To Soar looks ready to go over the 1100m journey and should be able to lead all of the way under apprentice hoop Reece Jones, who claims 3kg. Barrier six suits, as should the even tempo.
Race 7 – Ready To Soar (#1)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1370382_07]
Best Value: Alexeyeva
Three-year-old filly Alexeyeva has only placed once from six starts, but that was her most recent run when third at Quirindi. While her form on paper does not jump out, the races this Dissident filly has contested have produced a substantial amount of subsequent winners. Jumping from barrier 11, Mikayla Weir is likely to get this filly into a comfortable rhythm near the speed in a race that lacks tempo. Alexeyeva can break through for her first win at start seven.
Race 4 – Alexeyeva (#9)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1370382_04]
