Geelong horse betting tips for Fathers Day Sunday 6th September 2020

Nine races are set down for judgement at Geelong to help us through our Fathers Day Sunday afternoon. Set to race on a Good 4, and with the rail in the true position, it looks set for a great day of racing to round out the weekend. A potential star in the last is our best bet of the day as an odds-on favourite, but there seems to be some value throughout the rest of the card. First race jumps at 12:55pm, so get any commitments out of the way early on Sunday and settle in for a good afternoon of racing.

Geelong Sunday Races Free Tips & Best bets

Best BetRace 9 No.7 Barocha$1.60 with Sportsbet

Everyone knew someone who tipped this 4yo gelding at Sale for his debut for Clayton Douglas, and he was ultra impressive. Took some good riding to get him out of trouble by Jamie Kah, but soon as he got daylight he quickly put a gap on that field scoring by 5 lengths. If he gets the job done here, expect to see him in town somewhere in his next start and you would think he is far too classy for this lot here. Of the 20 accepted, 10 have been scratched and it is easy to see why.

Next Best BetRace 3 No.10 Kazuhiko$3.10 with Sportsbet

Kazuhiko was scratched at Bendigo on Wednesday for this at Geelong, had him on top at Bendigo and there seems to be no reason why he can not get it done here instead. He had one start back in May as the favourite in the Group 3 National Stakes at Morphettville, and the form behind that winner in Extra Time is more than good enough to beat this field here. Was a $1.7M buy this Lloyd Kennerwell colt and will have plenty of people interested on Sunday afternoon.

Best ValueRace 8 No.5 Kaplumpich$17.00/$4.80 with Sportsbet

The ever consistent Kevin Corstens 5YO Gelding Kaplumpich comes back from metropolitan level racing and looks a good play here in the penultimate race. Concede that the two favourites Proper Rogue and Deep Dive have the form to win here, but at nich each-way odds it is hard to pass up at his first up run after a 10 week freshen up. Will settle as one of the backmarkers, and with a genuine tempo expected this could be a nice way to round out a weekend on the punt.
