Race 1 – Handicap Plate (1500m)

Reykjavik is the short-priced favourite coming into this race and we agree with the market. The three-year-old colt has been racing in much better company than this and still managed to place behind War Room on Kingston Town Classic day. Should go well here.

Race 1 tip: Reykjavik to win ($1.80 at Neds)

Race 2 – Benchmark 72+ Handicap (1800m)

Touch Of Silver looks the best horse in this field. The son of Saxon was installed as the favourite here and after winning easily before placing behind the classy Wrinkly it’s easy to see why. At its best it wins this race.

Touch Of Silver is our best bet of the day at Ascot

Race 2 tip: Touch Of Silver to win ($2.30 at Crownbet)

Race 3 – Benchmark 66+ (1500m)

Remember Berlin is stepping up to the 1500m mark for the first time, but if it can see out the trip it’s a definite winning threat. The horse has placed second behind Get Over It on back-to-back occasions by less than a combined length. The five-year-old only needs to run the distance out to win this.

Race 3 tip: Remember Berlin to win ($4.40 at Neds)

Race 4 – Starstruck Classic (1600m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1175979_04]

Celebrity Dream is a star and should win this easily. The horse is seeking a hat-trick of wins, and had it not been for some bad luck back on November 11 it could be hunting a sixth-straight success. It is the best horse in the field and it will win.

Celebrity Dream is our next best bet at Ascot

Race 4 tip: Celebrity Dream to win ($1.80 at William Hill)

Race 5 – 3YO+ Handicap (1600m)

Missile Launch is aiming for a third-straight win and it gets the perfect race. The horse is expected to go forward from barrier seven and not get headed. Last start at Pinjarra the horse backed up its maiden win lugging a huge 59kg, 4.5kg more than it needs to carry to win on Saturday.

Race 5 tip: Missile Launch to win ($2.65 at Neds)

We love Trap For Fools here at Horse Betting headquarters, and if the horse backs up its Wednesday win at Ascot it’ll be the horse to beat here. If it confronts Saturday’s race it will be going for a seven-straight win, and we’re backing it to the hilt.

Race 6 tip: Trap For Fools to win ($3.70 at CrownBet)

Race 7 – Benchmark 72+ (1200m)

Majinika is resuming after half a year off, so the speedy beginner will be fresh. We expect it to rocket out of the gates from barrier five and provide a sight for the field. If the track has a leader bias on Saturday it will not get beaten.

Race 7 tip: Majinika to win ($5 at CrownBet)

Race 8 – 3YO+ Handicap (1100m)

Where’s Wally ran a shocker last time out at Ascot, but there were plenty of excuses that day. We like what we’ve seen from the gelding prior to that and will be forgiving the last-start eighth. Back Where’s Wally in.

Race 8 tip: Where’s Wally to win ($5 at Sportsbet)
