Free tips & bonuses for the March 23 Kembla Grange quaddie

Kembla Grange
WE’RE back with a cracking meeting at Kembla Grange and we have all the latest quaddie info and updated odds for your Wednesday punting needs.

With only seven races on the card, the quaddie kicks off on Race 4 with a rating 72 handicap. The field could be mistaken for a Saturday-graded affair, which is a theme for the Kembla Grange quaddie this week.

All four races are of a high standard and with the fields being so large, there’s a very good chance that the quaddie payout will be well-worth your time. The opening leg starts at 3:45pm where the Matthew Dale-trained Hermosa Beach is the current favourite.

Leg 1 – Rating 72 Handicap (1400m)

Hermosa Beach is a last-start winner at Canberra and it should cope with the rise in grade. The Matthew Dale-trained mare won by two lengths with Hugh Bowman in the saddle, but regular rider Brenton Avdulla returns for this. It has performed well in the Highway Handicap races in the city and punters believe it will be tough to beat. It’s currently paying $3.25 to win.

Francais is a past winner on this track and it wasn’t too far away in a similar race last start. The Chris Waller-trained filly has won twice from nine starts and the track conditions won’t be an issue. It battled on well for fifth fresh up last start and Hugh Bowman has stuck with it. It looks an obvious quaddie inclusion at $5.

We suggest adding in Tremezzina if the track conditions are worse than dead. There is rain around Sydney on Tuesday and this horse’s chances increase significantly with some moisture on the track. Monitor the weather and any market moves.

Leg 1 quaddie tips: 5, 6, 7

Leg 2 – All Too Hard R75 Handicap (2000m)

Hipparchus is a french import which made good ground at Warwick Farm last start. The four-year-old won one race over 2000m at Longchamp so this distance will suit nicely. Now with Chris Waller, it should continue to improve and a midweek rating 75 handicap shouldn’t be too difficult for it. Bookmakers have kept it safe at $3.40 and it should get plenty of support.

Gregory Hickman lines up Citations which has been running competitive races. The five-year-old finished second at this track last start and even though it carries 59.5kg for this, it is dropping down from 60kg. It is bred to relish this distance and it should be included in quaddie selections.

Monogram is a four-win mare which drops down massively in grade. The John O’Shea-trained runner ran in the Aspiration at Randwick last start and even though it ran last it’s still a big drop in grade. Its form prior was good with a win in rating 84 grade and it looks a strong chance here at $4.20.

Leg 2 quaddie tips: 3, 4, 6

Leg 3 – Hyland Race Colours R72 Handicap (1600m)

Makeadane was an impressive last start winner at Warwick Farm and it has been punished in the weights. The three-time winner goes up from 55kg to 60kg for this, but it is dropping right back in grade which should make it hard to handle. It will likely go forward and set the pace, so if it gets everything to suit the $3.40 looks good for quaddie players.

Bolord was an easy 1.8-length winner on this track last start and it’s paying good odds to win again. The Gwenda Markwell-trained gelding has won two from three at this track and it ran in rating 77 grade two back at Rosehill for a steady fourth. That form should stack up nicely here and it could boost payouts at $9.

Include Moher ($4.20) and Blinkin’ ($17) for some cover.

Leg 3 quaddie tips: 2, 4, 8, 9

Leg 4 – Tab More Than Just Winning R71 (1300m)

We’re prepared to forgive Brewery after a poor performance at Warwick Farm last start. The Gerald Ryan-trained gelding wasn’t suited by the track bias and many front runners were finding it hard. It rises up in weight for this which isn’t ideal, but senior rider Tim Clark takes over now and that should help. Worth including at $8.50.

Montauk is fresh up after running last in the Carbine Club Stakes behind Mahuta last start. The Chris Waller-trained gelding looked good winning in this grade two back by 1.3 lengths and if it can replicate that form it should go close in this. Hugh Bowman riding is a big plus and it only needs some luck from the wide draw. $4.80 with bookmakers.

This isn’t a leg to go short in. There are multiple chances which include Sweet Kiss, Puzzling Wonder, Liberty Island and Art Nouveau. We don’t want to label six horses in one leg, but the last leg is usually the toughest and that’s apparent here. We are prepared to pay a little more for a chance at hitting the quaddie.

Leg 4 quaddie tips: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10
