However, he is yet to go around at The Valley and we all know how important that can be. That’s why Widgee Turf (#1) is on top, a proven performer at The Valley (8: 3-3-0) and is a proven wet tracker. Slight query that he hasn’t won in 68 weeks, but the Widgee Turf fans will be hoping Saturday is his day.

This 3 year old filly has come back this preparation in strong form and at around the $10 mark seems a bit more appealing than the $3 favourite in (#11) Jenni’s Rainbow who has the age old theory of coming from Synthetic to Grass, let alone a potentially heavy track. An awkward barrier is a question mark on Dirty Thoughts, but expect Daniel Moor to try and settle her one off the fence, just off the pace. This filly is on the up and one to keep an eye on throughout the spring.
