Free Form and Quaddie tips for Wednesday, November 29 at Sandown

Sandown Quaddie

THE quaddie shifts to Wednesday this week as Sandown hosts an entertaining eight race card.

There are a number of familiar runners taking to the outskirts of Melbourne for the midweek meet, and we are hoping our form holds up to generate a quality dividend for the HorseBetting.com.au followers.

All odds this week were provided by Australia’s newest online bookmaker Neds, which is offering a matched first deposit bonus to new customers up to the value of $500 when they use the code GETON500.

Race five on the card is a Benchmark 70 race over the 1800m distance, which kicks off the quaddie at 3.20pm.

Race 5 – Benchmark 70 (1800m)

Pria Eclipse has been in sparkling form and looks well placed to perform well at Sandown. Having placed in seven of its last nine races, the horse has not been doing a lot wrong and has the ability at the low weights to make an impact.

Winkelmann has placed third in its last two starts and just needs a slice of luck to get its head in front on Wednesday. The horse finished less than a head behind the winner two starts ago at Moe and performed well at Flemington at a huge price last-start. Should be in the mix here.

Bayanova is first-up here where it has previously won at in the past. The horse also has great form at the track, missing the placings just once across seven career starts. The horse has been racing at the endurance distances prior to its spell and it could relish the drop in trip.

Race 6 – Benchmark 70 (1800m)

Red Choux’s looks the clear standout here. Having missed the placings just once in its seven race career, the Weir runner has excelled since breaking the maiden, missing out on following that up by a short head before winning easily at benchmark 64 level at Ararat. This race is within its grasp.

Best to beat our elect is Golden Authority. Similar to Red Choux, the horse has risen through the grades quickly and has recorded a benchmark 64 win. This horse has plenty of progression about it and we believe it has a strong winning hope.

Race 7 – Benchmark 70 (1000m)

Topweight Angry Gee is first-up, where it has previously won twice and placed a further two times across five career starts fresh. The horse has also missed the placings just once across the distance and we believe it has the ability to punch forward and pinch it from the front.

Ellerton and Zahra runner Club Tropicana has been great this campaign and will look to continue that third-up, where it has previously placed in the past. The last-start win as a $1.50 favourite was dominant and anything close to that will see the horse win with ease.

Strategic Spin is second-up where it has previously placed from one attempt, but the resuming win at Ballarat is what has us excited. Racing in similar company, the horse blitzed the field to win at short odds. Don’t expect a similarly easy win, but we think the horse will be right in with a show.

Race 8 – Benchmark 70 (1400m)

Life On The Wire is hunting a third-straight win on its Sandown debut. After racing exclusively in Tasmania, the horse now journeys to the mainland in search of a win. This horse could be a runner to follow has its career progresses.

Hectopascal has been racing well and is capable of a win here. This preparation has yielded two thirds and a fourth, and a race at the track where it has won previously and never missed a placing will boost Darren Weir’s confidence. Look for a the horse to find a prominent position from a wider gate and let down late.

Nina’s Ballerina looks one of the better horses in the field. Having finished second twice and won last-start across three runs this preparation, the horse looks in great order heading into this race. Gate seven will see Nina’s Ballerina get a wonderful position in the run and we expect it to be a place chance at absolute worst.
