Frankel filly Fai Eva wins for her breeder

Fair Eva, the first offspring of Frankel to sport the colours of his owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah, has made a winning debut at Haydock.

The Roger Charlton-trained youngster was Frankel’s third winner from four runners and the second filly after Queen Kindly got off the mark at Catterick last week.

Fair Eva, who is out of the 2008 Sprint Cup winner African Rose, was sent off a well-backed favourite and overcame greenness and inexperience in the early stages to run out an impressive winner.

While Nations Alexander took the nine-strong field along, Fair Eva was in the rear and looking lost.

However, she soon got the hang of things once Ryan Moore put her between horses and switched her to the far side of the course.

She quickened up in eye-catching fashion and pulled clear to score by four lengths from Nations Alexander with Miss Infinity another two lengths away in third.

Fair Eva was quoted at 25-1 for the next year’s 1000 Guineas with BetVictor.
