PINJARRA hosts the Mandurah Cup on Saturday where some handy Perth-based runners will line up for the prize.
We have form, odds and free racing tips for the bumper nine-race card.
Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1000m)
Tow Rope has run second at its last five of six starts and that consistency could be rewarded here. The Martin Allan-trained runner has a big weight, but it deserves the win and $3.50 is a solid price.
Race 1 tip: Tow Rope to win ($3.50) at Neds.com.au
Race 2 – 3YO Plate (1600m)
Icecrusher has won twice already in a short career and punters are expecting another top effort. The Daniel Morton-trained filly scored a quality win last time out and despite drawing wide in barrier 11, it should be tough to beat.
Race 2 tip: Icecrusher to win ($3) at CrownBet.com.au
Race 3 – 3YO Plate (1000m)
Flash of Thunder was a good winner on debut at Bunbury where it won by three lengths. This will likely be harder, but it was hard not to be impressed with that performance and it should go well again.
Race 3 tip: Flash of Thunder to win ($4.60) at Neds.com.au
Race 4 – 1MW Handicap (1200m)
Pinball Wizard is as consistent as they come and it could get rewarded with another win this time around. The Williams-trained runner has won four times since resuming this preparation and it has placed another four times. That’s some record.
Race 4 tip: Pinball Wizard to win ($3.40) at WilliamHill.com.au
Race 5 – 1MW Handicap (1200m)
Harry Thomas has rattled off three consecutive second placings and it could return to the winners’ enclosure with some luck. The four-year-old has drawn a touch wide which could make it difficult, but there’s not much wrong with his form.
Race 5 tip: Harry Thomas to win ($5.50) at Neds.com.au
Race 6 – 1MW Handicap (2000m)
Queen Bey has won and placed in four starts this campaign and it will get every chance from barrier three. It has placed twice from three starts at this track and a win at Pinjarra doesn’t look far off.
Race 6 tip: Queen Bey to win ($3.30) at Neds.com.au
Race 7 – BM78 Handicap (1409m)
Wrinkly has caused a crease in the market at $4.20 and we’re expecting more money to come for it. The Neville Parnham-trained runner has looked better than average this campaign in winning twice and that form should stack up well.
Race 7 tip: Wrinkly to win ($4.20) at Sportsbet.com.au
Race 8 – BM66 Handicap (1600m)
Missile Launch has won three on the trot and the Vaughn Sigley-trained runner looks capable of scoring again. It has been the best-backed runner over the nine-race card and we’re expecting more money to come.
Race 8 tip: Missile Launch to win ($2.20) at CrownBet.com.au
Race 9 – BM72 Handicap (1000m)
Gee Boss produced the goods last time out and it could kick on with it now. The Street Boss gelding has won three from eight starts and that record could improve in the last race here.
Race 9 tip: Gee Boss to win ($2.30) at Neds.com.au
