There are 12 thoroughbred meetings scattered across Australia on Saturday, April 22, 2017, with the biggest being the rescheduled Sydney Cup at Randwick.

Horsebetting.com.au staff have scoured the form guide and came up with our five best across all meetings.

Doomben – Race 4

The standout type in the fourth at Doomben is Land Office, who will be chasing a fifth win from its 17th start. The $1.85 chance looks to be a cut above these types and should be too strong. It finished fifth first up at Gold Coast over 900m, before a promising third, running on behind Quatronic at Toowoomba. Will appreciate the rise to 1200m and anything over the $2 mark should be snapped up.

Caulfield – Race 3

Burning Front looks a cut above these types in the third at Caulfield. While it will jump at even money, or worse it is a great one for the exotics. With almost $1 million in career prize money Burning Front has returned a 35% profit over the course of its career. Raced at Bendigo three weeks ago and lead the field as the top weight, before fading late to finish fourth.

Randwick – Race 3

If you are looking for some value at Randwick today, it is well worth considering James Cummings Mull Over in the third at Randwick. Paying $10, the So You Think filly will be racing for a fifth time and word out of the stable is it is much fitter and ready to go for this. It’s last trial on April 18 it recorded a brisk 34.9 sectional for the last 600m. Really like this here and the heavy track should suit.

Randwick – Race 9

Supply And Demand, trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, looks well placed to win the ninth on the card at Randwick. While it has faired only mediocre in two trials of late, last start it was an impressive winner at Warwick Farm in a Benchmark 72. If it can get out of the gates well it should push forward and has the ability to hold off any challenges. Watch how the track is running and if there is an on-pace bias today keep it safe.

Morphettville – Race 8

So You Too will offer each-way punters some value here. Paying $13 at Crownbet.com.au, this Leon McDonald-trained three year old has what it takes to win in this company. Since returning from a spell on March 13, So You Too has recorded a third and a second at the same track with Clare Lindop on board. Is well placed to notch up a third career win.
