Field of 15 for Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes

Group One-winning Godolphin-owned colts Bivouac and Microphone headline a field of 15 for the $1.5 million Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington.

Golden Rose winner Bivouac was a luckless sixth in the weight-for-age Manikato Stakes last Friday night and is set to back up eight days later in Saturday’s Group One Coolmore for three-year-olds over the straight 1200m.

Bivouac has barrier three and will be ridden by Hugh Bowman while James Doyle takes the ride on Microphone from barrier two.

Golden Rose placegetter Exceedance has drawn barrier 11.

Co-trainers Peter and Paul Snowden have last-start Roman Consul Stakes winner Cosmic Force running and he has barrier seven but the they have decided to save talented filly California Zimbol for another race during the Melbourne Cup carnival.

The Anthony Cummings-trained Libertini has barrier five and is one of four fillies in the field, the others being Li’l Kontra, Brooklyn Hustle and Broadwayandfourth.
