Multiple Group One placegetter Fell Swoop will get his chance in The Everest with auction house William Inglis and Son naming him as its representative in the $10 million race.

Trained by Matt Dale in Canberra, Fell Swoop has been placed in the past two TJ Smith Stakes over the 1200m-course at Randwick where The Everest will be run in October.

Inglis managing director Mark Webster said they had bought a slot in March and had been searching for an Inglis graduate before deciding on Fell Swoop who is at $21 to win The Everest.

Three-time TJ Smith winner Chautauqua is the $4.60 favourite ahead of Irish horse Caravaggio and Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign at $8.

The Coolmore-owned Caravaggio runs in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot on Friday (Saturday AEST).
