Echuca Races 26th October 2020 Horse Betting Preview
A nine race card is set down for judgement at Echuca on Monday afternoon to help kick start the build up to Derby Day on Saturday. The track at Echuca has come up a Soft 5 at the time of writing and with an overcast day forecasted, it looks like we may stay in the soft range.
The first of nine races is set to jump at 12:40pm AEDT.

The Corstens team would have been glad to get the maiden victory out of the way for this 4YO gelding three weeks ago at Geelong on rain affected ground. He had been building to that maiden victory nicely having not been beaten far in most of five starts prior. John Allen retains the ride and rates quite highly aboard the gelding, considering as a combination they are yet to run outside of the quinella. From barrier three he maps to get an economical run in transit and will prove extremely hard to hold out.

The Mick Price 3YO filly drops back from the Group 3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes a fortnight ago at Caulfield where she was seemingly outclassed by a few impressive types. She drops back to a country maiden and based on her runs two starts ago at Kyneton she will take a power of beating. Michael Dee back on board is seemingly a huge plus, and with a genuine tempo expected, her turn of foot will prove too hard to hold out in the finish.

We were with the Shay Keating 4YO gelding when he won at Donald three weeks ago, and despite going up 2kgs for this race, he looks well placed to go back to back. He is a galloper who makes his own luck up on speed, and from barrier seven should not have any issues taking up the running early on and prove hard to catch.
