Echuca abandoned due to heavy rain
MONDAY’s 10-race meeting at Echuca has been abandoned due to higher than expected rainfall and the state of the track.
Racing Victoria stewards inspected the track on Sunday afternoon and deemed it safe for racing, but further rain overnight and on Monday morning caused the already heavy track to deteriorate.
Punters can still bet at Darwin which features the $210,000 Carlton Mid Darwin Cup where current $2.50 favourite Finke is looking to remain unbeaten in six starts on the track.
