Early scans clear rider of serious injury

The daughter of former champion jockey Greg Childs has escaped serious injury following a trackwork fall at Caulfield.

Tayla Childs was reportedly knocked unconscious in the fall on Tuesday morning before being transported to hospital complaining of hip and lower limb soreness.

The sister of apprentice Jordan Childs, Tayla was riding a horse in trackwork on the Polytrack when the incident happened.

Initial scans have cleared the 20-year-old of serious injury with the worst of it appearing to be heavy bruising.

Hopes are Childs will be released from hospital later on Tuesday.
