The Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara will headline a massive nine-race card at Eagle Farm on Saturday afternoon, with the Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup and WJ Healy Stakes also set to feature throughout the day. The track is expected to improve into the Good range after being rated as a Soft 5 at the time of acceptances. The rail will be in the +6m position for the entire circuit, with the opening race on Tatts Tiara Day 2025 scheduled to jump at 11:43am AEST.
Tattersall’s Tiara tip: Abounding
Abounding finally had some luck in the barrier draw for the 2025 Tattersall’s Tiara, getting her first single-figure gate (6) in her last seven starts. The daughter of Rich Enuff settled too far back from wide barriers in recent runs, and now that she draws closer to the rail, Rachel King can have her a lot closer to the speed. At +1900 with horse racing bookmakers, Abounding represents great value in a wide-open feature event.

WJ Healy Stakes tip: Hidden Wealth
After leading for most of the way last start in the Group 2 Moreton Cup before finishing second behind Front Page, Hidden Wealth will drop back in grade to contest the WJ Healy Stakes. The Tony Gollan-trained gelding has drawn the right barrier to bounce from the gates and settle behind Prince Of Boom on speed. If Angela Jones can hold onto the top weight and save him for one final sprint in the final 300m, Hidden Wealth will prove hard to hold out late.

Tattersall’s Cup tip: Sir Lucan
Sir Lucan returned to form with a strong win in the Listed Winter Cup at Rosehill on June 14, when Tim Clark gave the son of Camelot a perfect ride throughout the 2400m contest. The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained gelding settled behind the speed and peeled off the leader’s heels to storm past them late and claim a half-length win. From barrier one, Clark can settle Sir Lucan in a similar position to last start and produce the same result.

Best Bet at Eagle Farm: Break Free
Break Free returned with a dominant three-length victory over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast on May 30, proving way too good for BM60 grade. Nikita Beriman has ridden this filly for all four career starts and retains the ride. From barrier one, Break Free will receive a perfect run in transit as she looks to bring up a fourth win at start five.
Best Bet
Race 1 – #2 Break Free (1)
3yo Filly | T: Matthew Hoysted | J: Nikita Beriman (56.5kg)
Next Best at Eagle Farm: Quietness
Quietness made her Australian debut at Randwick on June 7, when the John O’Shea & Tom Charlton-trained mare finished off nicely into third place over 1600m. The ex-European had won five of her last seven starts over 2000m or further, proving the 1600m was well short of her best trip. Tommy Berry will get on board for his first ride from barrier three, and if Quietness can settle nicely off the fence, she will finish off strongly once again.
