Dunn set to reunite with Our Boy Malachi

The jockey who rode Our Boy Malachi to the sprinter’s first stakes victory will be reunited with the gelding when he gets another shot at a Group One win in The Galaxy.

Dwayne Dunn has only ridden Our Boy Malachi in a race once, the 2014 Starlight Stakes at Rosehill, during the sprinter’s 23-start career which has netted 18 wins.

Our Boy Malachi will be out to bounce back from a Canterbury Stakes fifth placing in Saturday’s 1100m handicap at Rosehill.

“Be bombed the start the other day and did a bit of work,” Dunn said.

“He was still there until the end and then weakened.

“He deserves to win a race like this. Hopefully he’s good enough.”

Tommy Berry, who has ridden Our Boy Malachi in his past five starts, is riding the race favourite English.
