Doomben full form & tips for Saturday February 3
DOOMBEN is back this Saturday and we’re excited about what’s on offer in Queensland.
There’s a full nine race card on offer so let’s get stuck right into the tips.

Race 1 – Open Handicap (1050m)

Desert Digby gets a great gate to go back-to-back after a terrific debut at the Gold Coast. This is a slight step-up in distance and in class but it’s good enough to progress here.
Race 1 tip: Desert Digby to win ($5 at Sportsbet)
Race 2 – Benchmark 80 (2000m)

Expertea drew a bad gate but is in red-hot form heading into this event. The horse has two wins and a placing from its last three starts and the last-start win was sensational. Back it in once again.
Race 2 tip: Expertea to win ($2.70 at Neds)
Race 3 – Benchmark 70 (1600m)

Maybe Even You jumps from a great gate and is going to be hard to hold out. The Ben Currie runner delivered a brilliant performance last time out at Doomben at Class 2 level. Maybe Even You is right in the mix once again.
Race 3 tip: Maybe Even You to win ($2.25 at Ladbrokes)
Race 4 – Open Handicap (1350m)

Splitter is coming out of maiden grade and we think it can go on with the job here. The gate is nasty, but the strength of the three length win last time out means we cannot dismiss the Foxwedge filly here.
Race 4 tip: Splitter to win ($17 at William Hill)
Race 5 – Open Handicap (1200m)

Tarzan is seeking a hat-trick and six wins from its last seven races. We think the form is too good too overlook and we are tipping it to get the job done once again.
Race 5 tip: Tarzan to win ($12 at Neds)
Race 6 – Rs0mw (1100m)

Tversky is third-up on Saturday, where it has previously placed at in the past. This preparation the horse is undefeated and we’re expecting another super strong run in its Doomben debut.
Race 6 tip: Tversky to win ($2.25 at William Hill)
Race 7 – Class 3 Plate (1350m)

Lyricist will need to improve sharply on its resuming run, but it has won second-up in the past. The horse has won at the distance in the past and we think it will much better when fit.
Race 7 tip: Lyricist to win ($6 at Crownbet)
Race 8 – Open Handicap (1600m)

Slydini has finished second in four-straight races and is overdue for a win. The consistent type gets gate four to jump from and will be extremely hard to hold out if it gets the right run. We think the horse will spear out and attempt to take this one out from the front.
Race 8 tip: Slydini to win ($6.50 at Ladbrokes)
Race 9 – Benchmark 85 (1350m)

Plucky Girl gets in great at the weights and will be the horse to beat here. The horse has won twice in its last four races and the other “failures” were second placed finishes. This mare knows what it takes to win.
