Doomben free tips, form and odds, January 10
DOOMBEN is always a good place to punt on during the week and this Wednesday’s eight-race card is no different.
We have sorted through the form to find our best tips across the card, which kicks off at 1.43pm.
Race 1 – Maiden Handicap (1650m)

Lover Legs improved nicely to finish fourth last time out and it gets a nice barrier draw for this. That could be enough to see it get over the line in first.
Race 1 tip: Lover Legs to win at Neds.com.au
Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1350m)

Kurumba has placed twice from three starts and it could provide some value at odds. The Desleigh Forster-trained three-year-old finished third at Sunshine Coast last start and even though that came in a small field, it could surprise at odds in this.
Race 2 tip: Kuruma to place at CrownBet.com.au
Race 3 – Maiden Handicap (1200m)

Doom has been doom for punters having finished second on three consecutive occasions, but that could all change here. The Kelly Schweida-trained four-year-old has been close behind the speed and it should run well again.
Race 3 tip: Doom to win at Neds.com.au
Race 4 – BM80 Handicap (1200m)

Rare Occurrence is a nice type, but its confidence is a touch low. The Stuart Kendrick-trained runner used to run at a high level in Queensland, but after four runs this campaign, the fitness should be in good order now.
Race 4 tip: Rare Occurrence to win at Sportsbet.com.au
Race 5 – BM65 Handicap (1050m)

Hopetoun Street capped off two consecutive placings with a win last start and that form should hold up well. The Glenn Richardson-trained runner scored well at Kilcoy when paying big odds and punters should expect something similar here.
Race 5 tip: Hopetoun Street to win at Neds.com.au
Race 6 – C4 Handicap (1650m)

Madam Shazam didn’t run well when sixth fresh up, but it was much-improved when running second last time out. She gets Jeff Lloyd in the saddle with only 54kg on her back and that could be enough to win.
Race 6 tip: Madam Shazam to win at WilliamHill.com.au
Race 7 – C2 Plate (1200m)
[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177666_07]
Guissola looked good winning back-to-back races to open its account last campaign and it hasn’t been far away since. The three-year-old has since run third behind Curdled at Doomben and that’s strong midweek form.
Race 7 tip: Guissola to win at Neds.com.au
Race 8 – C3 Plate (1350m)

Downloading is always worth a chance at each way odds. The Robert Heathcote-trained runner has drawn wide, but it went well last start and we’re expecting another good effort.
Race 8 tip: Downloading to win at Neds.com.au
