Race 1 – Novice Hurdle (3200m)

We’re backing Weir to get off the mark on day three early with Duke Of Boneo. The horse won stylishly last time out at Hamilton over the jumps to maintain an unbeaten run over the up and overs and we’re backing it to deliver.

Race 1 tip: Duke Of Boneo to win ($3.30 at Sportsbet)

Race 2 – Open Handicap (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_02]

Maher runner Esthetic couldn’t have done more on debut to suggest to us it can progress nicely. The colt won by a neat length at Terang and we’re picking it to go two-from-two.

Race 2 tip: Esthetic to win ($5 at Neds)

Race 3 – Benchmark 78 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_03]

Mick Price runner Summer Glen gets a great chance to bounce back. The horse won strongly at benchmark 64 level to begin the preparation before putting together a disappointing run in the VOBIS Gold Distaff at Caulfield. This is a winnable event.

Race 3 tip: Summer Glen to win ($2.50 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Benchmark 64 (2000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_04]

Moss ‘N’ Bolt is edging closer and closer to a win and Thursday looms as a winnable race. The horse has finished second in back-to-back events, finishing within half a length at Moe on April 9. The gelding has since been freshened and looks likely here.

Race 4 tip: Moss ‘N’ Bolt to win ($7 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Benchmark 78 (1100m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_05]

Inn Keeper is a gun runner that knows how to find the line. The horse is second-up after following a narrow win at Terang on April 15, and we’re backing it to remain undefeated at this point in the preparation.

Race 5 tip: Inn Keeper to win ($8.50 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Benchmark 70 (1700m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_06]

Undefeated Weir runner Furrion should smash this lot. The horse is fresh off a commanding 4.8 length win at benchmark 64 level and from a good gate it should not be losing.

Race 6 tip: Furrion to win ($1.75 at Sportsbet)

Race 7 – Grand Annual Steeplechase (5500m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_07]

Zed Em missed by half a length of recording a win on day one of the carnival and it should be good enough to improve and win this one. The horse is a steeplechasing gun and should prove the hardest to beat.

Race 7 tip: Zed Em to win ($3.50 at Neds)

Race 8 – Open Handicap (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_08]

Artie’s Shore was only just tipped out at Terang at BM78 level on April 15 and we think it can improve from there. Despite jumping from a tough gate the gelding will be right in the frame.

Race 8 tip: Artie’s Shore to win ($11 at William Hill)

Race 9 – Warrnambool Cup (2350m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_09]

Kiwia gets his chance at redemption here. Last time out in the Gold Heath as a short-priced favourite, and we’re backing it to make it two wins from three attempts at the distance.

Race 9 tip: Kiwia to win ($2.90 at Sportsbet)

Race 10 – Benchmark 64 (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1184946_10]

We reckon Weir can end the carnival with a win. Fifty Star was ultra-impressive on debut at the ‘Bool on March 29. The horse has had a slight let up since then and will be right around the mark in this one.

Race 10 tip: Fifty Star to win ($2.65 at Neds)
