Slipper favourite Cellsabeel is expected to run in the $2m Inglis Millennium at Warwick Farm.

Golden Slipper favourite Cellsabeel heads 25 entries for the $2 million Inglis Millennium at Warwick Farm.

Trainer Ciaron Maher has indicated the filly will take her place in the 1100m-race despite the prize money for the sale-restricted race not counting towards a Slipper start.

The filly is the $6 favourite for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m) on March 21 ahead of Dame Giselle and Hanseatic, the Blue Diamond favourite, both at $11.

Last year’s Millennnium winner Castelvecchio did not run in the Slipper, instead successfully targeting the Group One Champagne Stakes (1600m).

His best performance since has been his second to Japanese champion Lys Gracieux in the Cox Plate in the spring.

Cellsabeel finished fourth in the $1 million Golden Gift on debut in November, a race won by the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Dame Giselle.

She was a dominant six length winner over 1100m when she returned on January 18 on a heavy Rosehill track, conditions she is likely to get on Saturday.

Cellsabeel has earned $124,000 which places her 14th on the Slipper order of entry with several qualifying races to be run in the lead-up to the big race.

Maher and his training partner David Eustace also have Muntaseera entered for Saturday’s $2 million Millennium with the filly nominated for the Blue Diamond Prelude at Caulfield.

Muntaeera won at Rosehill in November with after running second on debut at Caulfield.

Cellsabeel has opened the TAB’s $1.60 favourite with Muntaseera next at $6 but listed as doubtful.
