So Splendid has been running well without winning its last few starts and the former New Zealand runner could show up here. It’s currently paying good each way odds and we’re expecting plenty of support come race day.

Race 1 tip: So Splendid to win ($5) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 2 – BM78 Handicap (2000m)

The time is now for Andrea Mantegna, which has been a touch disappointing since winning twice to kick off this campaign. The Darren Weir-trained import has placed at four of its last five starts and it won’t get much easier than this.

Race 2 tip: Andrea Mantegna to win ($4) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 3 – BM70 Handicap (1100m)

Magnesium Rose has finished first, second and third in three career starts and another consistent run is likely here. The three-year-old has finished just behind the winner at her last two and she should go close.

Race 3 tip: Magnesium Rose to win ($3.60) at Neds.com.au

Race 4 – BM64 Handicap (1400m)

We’re keen on Keen. The Busuttin/Young-trained three-year-old scored by 4.8 lengths at Cranbourne on debut in a dominant display and a repeat could be on the cards. He’s facing some better types, but it was hard to not be impressed.

Race 4 tip: Keen to win ($2.25) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 5 – BM84 Handicap (1100m)

If Not Now When is exactly what punters are saying about the Henry Dwyer-trained runner. The four-year-old mare hasn’t won for awhile now, but the talent is there and it won’t get a better chance to score than this.

Race 5 tip: If Not Now When to win ($6.50) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 6 – BM84 Handicap (1600m)

Widgee Turf couldn’t have been any more impressive when winning its last two starts and the roll should continue here. The four-year-old has now won five of his 12 starts and the inside draw will give it every chance to win again.

Race 6 tip: Widgee Turf to win ($1.80) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 7 – BM70 Handicap (1200m)

Former Kiwi Manolo Blahniq hasn’t quite showed its true potential in Australia, but it has plenty of ability. It went close fresh up in a good race and having Craig Williams in the saddle is a big help.

Race 7 tip: Manolo Blahniq to win ($4) at Neds.com.au

Race 8 – BM78 Handicap (1400m)

Trogir is backing up after winning by 1.8 lengths at Caulfield last start and there has been solid support at each way odds. The Phillip Stokes-trained runner has improved nicely this campaign and it’s a chance here with some luck from out wide.

Race 8 tip: Trogir to win ($5.50) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 9 – BM84 Handicap (1100m)

Handsome Thief is fresh up after winning last start and it usually runs well after a break. The wide draw could make it tricky over this distance, but there’s each way value on offer.

Race 9 tip: Handsome Thief to win ($4.80) at Crownbet.com.au
