Carpenter to announce Jameka penalty
Jameka has joined Hartnell at the top of the Melbourne Cup market ahead of an announcement on a penalty for her Caulfield Cup win.
Racing Victoria’s chief handicapper Greg Carpenter will reveal his decision on Monday with the Ciaron Maher-trained mare expected to get an extra two kilograms for her Caulfield Cup win, taking her Melbourne Cup weight to 54kg.
She and Hartnell are at $5 for the Melbourne Cup on November 1 with the Lloyd Williams-owned Almandin at $10.
