Bullet beats Slipper winner in trial
Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign has been shaded in a Warwick Farm barrier trial by her Gary Portelli-trained stablemate Single Bullet.
The Group Three-winning colt finished 23 lengths behind She Will Reign in the Slipper but showed a good turn of foot in Friday’s 800m-heat to catch the filly who was not knocked around by Ben Melham.
There was a half neck between the two with Multiple Group One winner Chautauqua another 10 lengths behind but making ground in the straight from last.
