Hugh Bowman will represent Australia on the world stage in the International Jockeys’ Championship in Hong Kong.

Bowman will ride Premiere, Money Man, Kiram and Super Fluke in the four-race series at Happy Valley on Wednesday night where HK$200,000 is to be awarded to the winning jockey.

Bowman has won two Group One races in the Asian racing capital this year as well as a second Cox Plate aboard Winx.

Ex-pat Australian jockey Zac Purton will represent Hong Kong along with star rider Joao Moreira, Derek Leung and Douglas Whyte who rode Kingston Town Classic runner-up Scales Of Justice in Perth on Saturday.

Champion British jockey Ryan Moore will also compete alongside nine-time Irish champion rider Pat Smullen.

Mickael Barzalona (France), Florent Geroux (United States), Micro Demuro (Italy), Gavin Lerena (South Africa) and Keita Tosaki (Japan) round out the field.

The championship is part of the build-up to Sunday’s International meeting at Sha Tin where Rebel Dane and Takedown will represent Australia in the Hong Kong Sprint.
