THE moment is finally here punters – it’s Blue Diamond Stakes Day at Caulfield Racecourse.

Other than the eponymous event we have plenty of great races including the Futurity Stakes and the Oakleigh Plate, alongside some interesting contests like the Peter Young Stakes.

Our expert has taken a look at the full nine race card and delivered tips for the entire meeting. Let’s take a look at who he’s rolling with.

*All odds were provided by our trusted online bookmakers and were correct at the time of publishing

Race 1 – Mornington Club Prelude (2000m)

Sikandarabad is ready to peak third-up on Saturday after two strong runs since resuming in late January.

The horse rounded out the first-four on Australia Day before putting in a great run on February 9, missing out by under a length to star runner Avilius. Sikandarabad has placed twice at this distance and looks well suited to breaking through.

Sikandarabad is at $2.05 via online bookmaker Ladbrokes

Race 2 – Heritage Caulfield Autumn Classic (1800m)

Cossetot is the secondary Godolphin runner in the market but the consistent gelding is going to be hard to beat.

The horse is looking to go back-to-back after a strong win in the Tasmanian Derby on February 8, winning sharply as a short-priced favourite. This time the gelding gets out to a very backable price and we’re taking the punt.

Cossetot is at $7 to win via Ladbrokes

Race 3 – Mannerism Stakes (1400m)

Jamaican Rain is a dual acceptor, but we’re anticipating the horse runs in this race.

The resuming runner is a first-up gun, winning three of her four attempts at this point of the preparation. The only query is two runs at Caulfield which failed to yield a placing, but Jamaican Rain has won twice at the distance, which is a big tick.

Jamaican Rain is at $5.50 to win via online bookmaker Sportsbet

Race 4 – Ladbrokes Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m)

Angelic Ruler has been in stellar form this campaign, winning three of four races.

This runner is running for the first time since crossing the Nullarbor, where she had won five of her nine starts. She’s probably a little long in the market due to the unknown factor at Caulfield but we love Angelic Ruler so we’re backing her in.

Angelic Ruler is at $4.50 to win via Sportsbet

Race 5 – Ladbrokes Zeditave Stakes (1200m)

With Tin Man likely getting taken out of this race it’s all about Zousain for us.

Zousain resumes here having trailed well we think race the star runner is the clear standout with the Godolphin runner likely to be pulled out of the race.

Back Zousain in with absolute confidence.

Zousain is at $2 to win via online bookmaker Neds

Race 6 – Futurity Stakes (1400m)

Godolphin star Alizee should be winning this one with ease.

The mare is seeking a fourth-straight success and third win this preparation after taking out the Group 2 Expressway Stakes at Rosehill with consummate ease. The only slight query is the lack of third-up success – no placings from three attempts – but we’re backing the gun in to do what she does best.

Alizee is at $2.45 to win via Neds

Race 7 – Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m)

Loving Gaby was passed fit to run which was a sigh of relief for all-in players.

The horse is coming into the Blue Diamond Stakes off the back of a strong debut performance in the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes at the beginning of the month and only raises half a kilo following that.

We’re expecting the daughter of I Am Invincible to be a Group 1 winner after Saturday.

Race 8 – Oakleigh Plate (1100m)

Speedster Nature Strip should record his maiden Group 1 win this Saturday in the Oakleigh Plate.

The gelding was brilliant in his resumption in the Rubiton Stakes, winning by three and a half lengths in stunning fashion.

We’re not expecting any other horses to contest the lead with Nature Strip, which favours him even more. Back Nature Strip in with confidence.

Nature Strip is at $2.25 to win via our trusted online bookmakers

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1219062_08]

Race 9 – Peter Young Stakes (1800m)

Godolphin gun Avilius should end the Blue Diamond Stakes Day in great fashion for the boys in blue.

The horse resumed in great fashion, winning the Group 3 Carlyon Cup sharply, and now he is back second-up where the gelding has won two times and placed once from three attempts.

59kg is a big weight to carry but Avilius has a clear class advantage on this field. Back him in with confidence.

Avilius is at $2.15 to win via our trusted online bookmakers
