Blake Shinn to return at Warwick Farm

Blake Shinn returns to Sydney racing with rides in six of the seven races at the Warwick Farm midweek meeting.

Shinn has spent the past five weeks in the United States, riding 11 winners at Arlington Park in Chicago.

“Beyond my wildest dream did I imagine walking away with 11 wins. Thx everyone that helped along this journey. It’s been one hell of a ride!” Shinn tweeted after his final day on Sunday.

An association with prominent trainer Wesley Ward led to Shinn’s American stint.

His 11 wins came from 74 rides and he also racked up 18 minor placings.

Ahead of spring racing, Shinn has already been locked into English as his mount in The Everest on October 14.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained mare is on the third line of betting for the $10 million sprint at $11 with Chautauqua the $4.60 favourite ahead of Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign and Coolmore colt Caravagio at $8.
