Bendigo tips & full form for Tuesday, March 6
BENDIGO is back after race-free Mondays and we’re excited about what the day will bring.
There’s eight events to get through so let’s get stuck into the tips.

Race 1 – Maiden (1600m)

Garifullina only missed out by a nose last-start at this track and looms as a huge chance to breakthrough here. The filly has a good draw and form coming into the race.

Two second placings from three races boosts our confidence that Jacky Paper can deliver a win here. The blinkers get added, which should sharpen the gelding up significantly.

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1300m)

Godolphin runner Viking Raid has been making headway since resuming on February 4. The horse finished fourth first-up, then delivered a second placed finish just two weeks later at Bendigo. We think the three-year-old is ready to win.

Race 4 – Benchmark 58 (2400m)

Danesai won its first-ever at the eighth time of asking and we think the Darren Weir-trained runner can deliver back-to-back wins. The horse had neither placed before in seven runs, but four-year-old smashed the field on February 18.

Race 5 – Benchmark 64 (1100m)

Secret Reward is first-up, where it has placed at the one attempt in the past. The gelding comes into the race after a poor showing on Morphettville back in September, but after a long layoff, the gelding will appreciate the drop back to the country.

Race 6 – Benchmark 70 (1600m)

Penthouse Kitten is first-up here, where it has one win and a second placing from two attempts. The horse has two trials coming into this event and draws perfectly to win a third time from 12 races.

Race 7 – Benchmark 58 (1500m)

The claim will help Mutin here. The gelding only missed out by two parts of a length at Yarra Valley, and with a great draw the Lindsay Park runner will be right in the mix.

Race 8 – Benchmark 64 (1300m)

Callisto Moon has two wins from four runs and looms as a winning threat. Despite being up in grade the horse is down in the weights and we think the New Approach gelding can win a fourth race at its 16th start.
