A Ben Currie stablehand has copped an 18 month ban.

A Toowoomba stablehand has been disqualified for 18 months on race day treatment charges.

Greg Britnell was found guilty of 15 charges relating to raceday treatment at an inquiry in Brisbane on Saturday.

Queensland Racing Integrity Commission boss Ross Barnett said Britnell was guilty of seven charges relating to incidents at trainer Currie’s Toowoomba stables on April 7.

The charges involved that he, without the permission of the stewards, administered a medication on raceday.

He also was found guilty of an improper practice in connection with Givus a Cuddle, Gully Command, Hang, Publishing Power, Ruettiger, With a Promise and Boomwaa before the Toowoomba April 7 meeting.

Britnell is the third stablehand to be banned since Currie’s Toowoomba stable was investigated last month.

Cameron Schwenke was suspended after being found guilty of assisting in the administration of a substance to seven race horses on Weetwood Day.

Silde Canda was found guilty of providing false evidence during the investigation and suspended for three months.
