Unbeaten filly In Good Time has given Wyong trainer Tracey Bartley a second win at the rich Scone carnival with her victory in the Listed Denise’s Joy Stakes.

On Friday, the Bartley-trained Bare Naked Lady won Friday’s 100,000 Inglis Two-Year-Old Challenge (1100m).

While Bare Naked Lady started favourite, In Good Time was a $16 chance on Saturday but showed her toughness to beat She Knows ($9.50) by a short neck, also over 1100m.

In Good Time’s record now stands at six wins from six starts with Matthew Cahill, who rode her in her first two races at Dubbo and Wellington, resuming his association with her at Scone.

“She is very good,” Bartley said.

“(Retired trainer) Bernie Howlett bred her and sent me a photo and we bought her for $10,000.

“I think she will go to the paddock now and we will look for better races for her next time in.”

Bare Naked Lady was also a $10,000 bargain and the two are part of a resurgence Bartley who trained Sniper’s Bullet to three Group One wins from 2007 to 2009.

“I’ve got a nice crop of horses at the moment,” he said.

The powerful Godolphin operation has a host of good horses and Osborne Bulls has continued his rise through the grades with his win in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes (1300m).

Ridden by leading Sydney apprentice Rachel King, Osborne Bulls ($2.20 fav) held off Red Excitement ($26) by half a length with Invincible Gem ($3.60) another long neck third.

Stable representative Darren Beadman said he was unsure of the next step for Osborne Bull with trainer James Cummings to decide whether there is a race in the Brisbane carnival for hin.

“He has an explosive turn of foot and has been extremely well placed by James,” Beadman said.
