Athiri ready for Blue Diamond assignment
Trainer James Cummings has a host of feature race chances at Caulfield including Athiri who he believes can deliver him a first major two-year-old win in the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes.
The Godolphin stable also has favourite Alizee and stablemates Hartnell and Best Of Days in Saturday’s Group One Futurity Stakes and Encryption in the Group One Oakleigh Plate.
Avilius is favourite to make it two from two this campaign in the Group Two Peter Young Stakes while in-form Tin Hat will clash with exciting Chris Waller-trained colt Zousain in the Group Three Zeditave Stakes.
