Ascot full form & tips for Wednesday, February 7

ASCOT is hosting racing in the nation’s west today as the state’s premier rack delivers seven races this hump day.

There’s a number of Willie Pike runners that we are targeting here, but he’s not the only jockey with rides we are favouring on Wednesday.

Let’s get stuck into the tips.

Race 1 – Rs0mw (1500m)

Dickoletto couldn’t have been any more impressive on debut at Bunbury and now the runner gets its chance at Ascot. Pike takes the ride, which is a big tick. We think Dickoletto remains undefeated.

Race 1 tip: Dickoletto to win ($1.50 at Crownbet)

Race 2 – Maiden (1100m)

Mirisistible looked great in its last trial before this debut run and we’re backing it in for a bold showing in its first ever attempt on race day. In a hard to predict maiden the horse looms as good a chance as any.

Race 2 tip: Mirisistible to win ($3.90 at Neds)

Race 3 – Class 3 Handicap (2200m)

Pike takes the ride on last-start winner Sugar Cain, which presents as a great chance to go back-to-back for the first time in its career. On that occasion the horse won over the 2000m trip, and we think the additional journey will suit the filly down to the ground.

Race 3 tip: Sugar Cain to win ($1.55 at Ladbrokes)

Race 4 – Class 1 Handicap (1800m)

Black Attack is yet to register a win over three career starts but it looms as a huge chance to breakthrough at Class 1 level. The horse is progressing with each run and having Pike in the saddle always helps. Expect a strong showing with just 55kg.

Race 4 tip: Black Attack to win ($4.40 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Class 3 Handicap (1200m)

Multiverse resumes after a five month break as the horse to beat here. The horse has a win first-up in the past and two successes at this distance. Multiverse has trialed nicely leading into this race and is good enough to run over the top of them late.

Race 5 tip: Multiverse to win ($5.50 at Neds)

Race 6 – Class 1 (1400m)

Dixie Win jumps 500m in trip here but we cannot dismiss the runner given its current run of form. The horse has a win and two second placings this preparation from three runs and we’re backing the step-up in journey to be no problem.

Race 6 tip: Dixie Win to win at William Hill

Race 7 – Rs0ly (1400m)

Greco gets a gun draw here and will be hard to hold out. Jerry Noske gets the ride which is a big bonus, as is the fact the horse has won and placed another time over its last three runs.

Race 7 tip: Greco to win at Crownbet
