Arrowfield Stud buys into colt Pariah

Arrowfield Stud has bought a half-share in Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up Pariah who will stand at the stud at the end of his racing career.

The two-year-old is spelling after his autumn preparation and will return for his spring three-year-old campaign later this year and remain in the care of trainers Peter and Paul Snowden.

Pariah won the Canonbury Stakes at Rosehill on debut before finishing second in both the Blue Diamond colts and geldings Prelude and the the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes.

He was unplaced on a heavy track in the $3 million Golden Slipper.

Pariah is a son of Arrowfield’s champion stallion Redoute’s Choice and was bought by James Harron Bloodstock for $700,000 from Arrowfield’s 2016 Inglis Easter draft.

He will now be raced in partnership by Arrowfield, Harron and all his other current owners.

“We are very pleased to secure Pariah as a high-class son of the sire of sires Redoute’s Choice, and look forward to launching him on our roster alongside Australia’s leading sire Snitzel and last season’s leading active sire Not A Single Doubt, when his racing career is concluded,” Arrowfield chairman John Messara said.
