Victorian apprentice Tahlia Hope has finished out of the placings in the Prix Longines Future Stars race in France but says the experience is priceless.

The 17-year-old represented Australia in the invitation race for apprentices which is held annually at the French Oaks (Prix de Diane) meeting at Chantilly.

“I’m happy with how I rode and the experience itself is priceless,” Hope told Racing Victoria.

“I’ve already learnt so much and this trip is doing so much to fast-track my skills.”

Hope will continue to gain overseas experience in England where she will ride trackwork for Luca Cumani and William Haggas before heading to Ireland.

“It’s going to be a great experience spending time with such great trainers and I’m certain it will benefit my career,” Hope said.
